NIILS

NIILS (Northern Indiana Independent Living Services) provides training exclusively for visually impaired seniors so they can live more independently in their homes. Services are available to those 55 and over who live in Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall or St. Joseph Counties. Training is individualized and provided in the consumer’s own home. To be eligible for NIILS, individuals must experience a restricted field of vision, or vision loss to the degree that reading newsprint is not possible with conventional glasses.
