Board of Directors

Our local communities are part of the fabric that is ADEC. Our friends, neighbors, business associates, educators and our clients are all stakeholders in our mission. Members of ADEC’s Board of Directors represent all areas and aspects of our community. It is this diverse representation that has helped make ADEC a solid and reliable community resource since 1952.

Pamela Hluchota, Chairperson

Pam is Market Manager of McDonald Financial Group, KeyBank. She has served on the ADEC Board since 1999 and is active on the ADEC Human Rights Committee and Marketing and Development Committee. In addition she is a Board Member of Elkhart Rotary Club and a Board Member of Loveway, Inc. Pam and her husband have five children and reside in Goshen.

Jennifer L. Sager, Vice Chairperson

Jenny Sager has worked over the past ten (10) years for the Elkhart County Special Education Cooperative as the Severe Disabilities Coordinator where she oversees the education for students experiencing physical disabilities and other severe developmental disabilities. She has her bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in Moderate and Severe Mental Development Disabilities. She also has certification in early childhood, orthopedic impairments and school administration. Jenny grew up in Elkhart and has been involved with ADEC for many years. She has served on the ADEC Board since 2000 and is very active on the ADEC Guardianship Committee. Her sister Stephanie is an ADEC client receiving services. Jenny also has maintained friendships over the years with other people experiencing developmental disabilities and they have added much happiness to her life. Jenny is married to her husband Jim and has a daughter living in California where she teaches special education.

Kevin R. Boyer, Secretary

Kevin is Chief Financial Officer of the Elkhart Clinic. He graduated from Manchester College with a degree in Accounting. He received his MS, Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Kevin is currently serving on the Timbercrest Senior Living Center board and is a former board member and president of the Triton School Corporation. Kevin and his wife, Ruth, live in Bourbon, Indiana. They have four children and one grandchild.

Jenny M. Schrock, Treasurer

Jenny M. Schrock is Manager of Healthy Beginnings Division of Elkhart County Health Department. She received her BS from Ball State University and MSA from the University of Notre Dame. Jenny has served on the ADEC Guardianship Committee since January, 2004. She and her husband live in Goshen.

Michael Iavagnilio, Past Chairperson

Michael is a Sales Representative at Wells Cargo in Elkhart. He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a degree in Business. He has served on the ADEC Board of Directors since 1999 and is also Chairman of the ADEC Guardianship Committee. In addition he is immediate Past President and Board member of the Elkhart Lions Club, Deacon, Elder and Secretary of the Board at Central Christian Church, Auxiliary Volunteer for Elkhart General Hospital and member of the Elks Lodge #425. Mike and his wife have four children and reside in Elkhart.

John R. Auer 

John is a retired business owner and has resided in Elkhart County for the past 26 years.  He is a member of Brenneman Missionary Memorial Church and Chairman of the Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network.  John and his wife Carol have three children and live in Middlebury, Indiana.

Paul Becher

Paul is a retired partner from the law firm of Barnes and Thornburg LLP. He is a graduate of Indiana University and Notre Dame Law School. Paul has served on the ADEC Board of Directors since 2001 and is also a member of the ADEC Human Rights Committee and Marketing and Development Committee. He is also a volunteer for Hospice of Elkhart County, a member of Institutional Review Board (IRB) for Elkhart General Hospital, and a member of the IRB for the Northern Indiana Cancer Research Consortium. Paul and his wife, Heidi, have one married daughter and live in Bristol.

John Goebel 

John is retired from Home Crest Corporation where he served as President.  He is a graduate of University of Michigan and received his MMA from Northwestern.  John is a member of Rotary, Elkhart Housing Partnership Board, and Elkhart Housing Authority.  John and his wife, Judy live in Elkhart and have 2 children.

John B. Hart

John is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Medical Hypnoanalyst. He formerly was the Senior Pastor at Central Christian Church. John has been on the ADEC Board since 2001 and is active on the ADEC Guardianship Committee. He and his wife live in Bristol, Indiana and they have three married children.

Cindie L. McPhie

Cindie is the Director of Rehab and Neurosciences at Elkhart General Healthcare System .  She received her BS in Physical Therapy from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA and her MBA from Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Cindie and her husband Joe reside in Granger, Indiana.

E. Jean Phillips

Jean is retired from Bayer, Inc. She has served on the ADEC Board since 2001. Jean lives in Elkhart.

Thomas Pletcher

is a real estate developer in the Bristol area.  He and his wife, Dana have 2 children and live in Bristol, Indiana.

Terry J. Rodino

Terry is President/Owner of Recycled New in Elkhart. He has been on the ADEC Board since 1999 and is active on the ADEC Business Advisory Committee. Additionally, he is Vice President of Elkhart Noon Rotary, President of Elkhart Hospice Fund, member of St. Vicent DePaul Cemetery Board, member of Real Services of Northern Indiana, Member of the Elkhart Central Blazer Club and a Board Member of recycling committee of National Wooden Pallet and Container Association. Terry is also a candidate for the fall election for Elkhart County Commissioner. Terry and his wife have two children and live in Elkhart.

Helen M. Watts-Brown

Helen is a retired educator from the Elkhart Community School System. She has served on the ADEC Board since 2001 and also belongs to the American Council of the Blind. Helen lives in Elkhart.

Vicki L. Witmer

Vicki has served on the ADEC Board since 2002. She also serves on the ADEC Program Policy Committee. Vicki is the current Vice President of the Elkhart County Down Syndrom Support Group. She is involved with First Steps of Elkhart County and is a member of the Nappanee Missionary Church. Vicki and her husband live in Goshen and are kept very busy with their seven children.
