Family Services

ADEC Family Services is one of Elkhart County’s First Steps service providers ready to assist children and their families. Our mission is to provide preventative, educational and supportive services to children ages birth to three years and their families.

Relief and assistance for families with children of all ages and/or adults with disabilities and/or emotional /mental illness is also provided through ADEC’s Respite Services.

We offer:

• In-Home Developmental Intervention infants and their families.
• Case management for “Support Services Waiver”, to assist families with extended services. 

The type and amount of services are individually designed to meet the needs of each child and family. Services are provided in natural childhood settings. Families play a key role in deciding what services are needed to help their child.

First Steps is a State referral services which will offer Free Evaluations to any child who is an Elkhart County Resident, birth to three years old and at risk for development delays.

Services following evaluation are funded through the State, First Steps and Federal Part H Funds, Medicaid and charitable donations.
