Orientation and Mobility Training
ADEC’s services for those experiencing visual impairments teach life enhancing skills and techniques to help compensate and adapt to vision loss. All training is designed to meet the goals of the individual. Lessons take place in the client’s personal environment, enabling them to confidently travel independently in their community.
Instruction may also include familiarization to work environments as well as business and personal travel.

- Cane Skills
- Guide Dog Assessment
- Low Vision
- Bus Travel
- Street Crossings
- Family Training
- Family Consultation
Referral and funding sources for these services include Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation, the Veterans Administration and area school systems. We also accept self/referral/self-pay clients. For more information on Orientation and Mobility Training contact
